COVID 19 - Safety Measures

Sloan Helicopters has implemented the following safety measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and maintain the health and safety of our clients, crew and communities.

  • All passengers will be subject to the preventative measures taken by the provincial government in order to minimize COVID-19 infection.
  • Each passenger will complete a health check questionnaire prior to boarding Company aircraft.
  • Each passenger will confirm that they are in possession of a non-medical mask / face covering prior to boarding Company aircraft.
  • All passengers are required to wear their non-medical mask / face covering when onboard Company aircraft and when otherwise instructed to do so by the pilot in command.
  • Aircraft sanitization will be performed before and after each flight, focusing on high touch surfaces, screens and windows.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided when hand washing facilities are not available.

Note that additional restrictions and / or safety protocols may be required when visiting remote communities or camps. Please be sure to inform your pilot of all intended stops prior to take-off as enroute itinerary changes may be difficult.

In return we ask that you stay home:

  • If you are exhibiting any symptoms associated with COVID-19;
  • If you have been refused boarding in the last 14 days due to COVID-19 related reasons; or
  • If you are the subject of a provincial, territorial or local health order.

Please note that boarding will be denied under these circumstances unless the passenger provides a valid medical certificate indicating that exhibited symptoms are not related to COVID-19. Providing a false or misleading answer during the health check or at any other time, could also result in a maximum fine of $5,000
